I am desparately looking for photographics of the Artist Colony at Idle Hour. I grew up in Sayville, rented one of the converted Duck Houses for a while and am not living in beautiful Saratoga Springs. I am working on an assignment on rowhouses for my Architectural History course and have decided that the Artist Colony is perfect. I have found some very old photos but am looking for some more recent ones. Any help would be appreciated!!

Look on the website http://www.OakdaleNY.com and also check the MLS (www.mlsli.com) for some of the artist colony buildings which are currently for sale.

This is a question. Do you have any information concerning a T.D. Wadelton Interiors (Thomas Dorrington Wadelton) name is often mispelled. He was McKim Mead and White’s first office boy, eventual did many interiors, wood paneling in homes on the Gold Coast. In NYC he did work on Tiffany’s, JPMorgan’s office, the University Club are examples. Went out of business after the ’29 Crash.
